Open Skate, Open Hockey, Curling and Developmental Ice Time
Marshall Community Services hosts many different options at the Red Baron Arena & Expo throughout the winter season, including Open Skate, Open Hockey, Curling Leagues and Developmental Ice Times.
Open Hockey
Open hockey is Wednesday nights, pre-registration is not required. Any questions regarding these, please call Marshall Community Services at 507-537-6767.
- Season passes are available for $75
- Must be 18 years or older
- Skate Sharpening Punch Cards: 10 sharpens for $25
Open Skate
Marshall Community Services hosts open skate at the Red Baron Arena & Expo, skate rental and bars are available at the rink.
- Open Skate: $5 per session
- Skate Rental: $3 per session
- Hockey & figure skates available: Youth Size 7 to Adult 15
- Season Passes available for $50/person ($25/each additional family member)
Open Skate & Open Hockey Season Runs from November - March
Curling League
Curling leagues runs six regular-season matches with two weeks of playoffs. Twelve team cap and players must be 14 years of age or older. Register your team in advance at Marshall Community Services.
Developmental Ice Time
Marshall Community Services is offering dedicated ice time for youth to focus on skill development while working with a coach.
- Skater fee: $15/hr (per skater)
- Reservations Required - no walk-ins allowed
- Full-sheet of ice shared by all reservations.
- All ages welcome
- Coaches:
- Must be secured by skater
- Submit their own liability insurance to MCS office ahead of session
- No coaching fee
- Rules:
- Pucks, nets, cones and other training equipment are NOT allowed.
